Leon is easy to get to, thanks to its position as a “crossroads” that connects Asturias, Galicia and the rest of the peninsula. The province itself is 15580 km2, and is one of the largest in Spain. The population of the city is 125,000, reaching 200,000 if the surrounding districts are included.

Leon is well connected with a complete rail network. The high-speed train (AVE) stops at the city, which makes travelling quicker and easier. Another option is to take a flight; the local airport is 8 km away from the city and has excellent public transport links to the city itself.

The city also has national coach services that link up with the entire peninsula; you have a lot of bus companies to choose from, all offering different times and routes.
