A public symbol of beauty and colour, Queen Sophia attended the opening in 1982 of the park that pays homage to the King and Queen of Spain.
Three entrance gates give access to a horizon that is half sky, half green space full of giant sequoia, cypresses, cherry trees and poplars, distributed in an almost mathematical order around the large central rose garden. The park has a children’s playground, table tennis tables, a bike and skateboard path. And as a final declaration of Leonese principles, the old grain store that appears in the entrance, simply made and with a solid red tile roof.
